Q: Can I use a hands-free Whip with a standard hands-on unit?
A: You can use a Hands-free Whip® with a Hands-on unit, but you will still have to hold it as you would a standard Whip® Handpiece.
Please note that the connection will be loose and prone to air leaks because the flat ground-glass taper of the hands-free glass cannot create a proper seal against the rounded hands-on heater, preventing you from smoothly tilting the whip to distribute heat evenly.
If you have our EZ Change Whip® system instead of a one-piece Handpiece, you do not need to replace your entire whip. You can simply swap out the current Hands-Free glass tip for a Hands-On glass tip and keep your existing grip, handle, tubing, and mouthpiece parts.
