Angus was previously criticized for using a fiber insulation blanket around the heater. Current models now use only metal sleeves with no fiber insulation. The material used in early models wasn’t fiberglass—it was high-temperature ceramic fiber, similar to what’s used by top portable vaporizer brands. Still, because of community concern, YLL is offering free replacements for all earlier models. If you purchased an Angus previously, we have contacted you; if you missed the message, please reach out to arrange your free replacement. We’ve taken apart the Angus ourselves and confirmed the blanket material is standard ceramic wool, used to keep heat in the heater for efficient operation.
